実際に教会にきている人達にインタビューしちゃいました！！
I interviewed few people who come to this church.

今日は、ギルを紹介します！
Today I will introduce Gil !

1) How long have you been in Japan?
日本にきてからどれぐらい？

I have been living in Japan since May 2011, but I have visited Japan 5 times prior on missionary trips.
２０１１年５月から日本に住んでるけど、その前５回ぐらい宣教活動で日本にきたことがある。

2) How did you come to Jesus Lifehouse?
どうやってジーザスライフハウスへきた？

After my missionary trip in May I began living in Japan as a Missionary and English teacher. The transition of the new life in JP was actually one of the most challenging, difficult, testing, and rewarding times of my life.
５月の宣教活動の後、宣教師と英語の先生として日本に住み始めた。日本での新しい生活への切り替えは自分の人生の中でも最もチャレンジで、難しくて、試されて、祝福されたものだった。

During this time I was looking for a church where I could be put to work and find family. One night my roommate told me he had heard of Jesus Lifehouse Osaka and suggested I stop by. The next Sunday I visited for the first time, and everything in my life changed.
ちょうどこの時期に自分が根付くことができる、家族を見つけられる教会を探してた。ある晩、ルームメイトがジーザスライフハウス大阪のことを聞いて、「行ったみたらどう？」って勧めてきた。その次の日曜日に最初にジーザスライフハウス大阪にいってみて、そこから人生の全てが変えられた！ 

3) How have u changed since coming to this church?
この教会にきてからどう変わった？

I have a better sense of direction and confidence in my calling to Japan. My character has changed in every way. I truly feel like I am being challenged and molded into a leader. Challenged to bring forth a harvest. A harvest to change Japan. What I was made for!
自分が日本に使命が与えられていることに対して、もっと明確な方向と自信が与えられた。僕の人格は全ての面において変えられた。リーダーになるためにチャレンジされて、整えられてる気がする。 実をならすためにチャレンジされてる。日本を変えるための収穫。そのために自分は創られた！

4) What team do you serve in?
仕えてるチームは？

I serve in station team, pack down, and international team.
ステーションチーム、パックダウンチームとインターナショナルチーム

5) What do u like about your team?
チームの好きなところは？

When I’m in the station team I feel like we are taking thirsty people to a spring. I love being a part of that. I love seeing the change in a person’s life from the beginning. And that’s where it starts: the first encounter.
ステーションチームで仕えている時は、喉がカラカラに渇いている人を泉へ連れて行くような感覚。その一部になれることが大好き！その人が変えられていくのを最初から見るのが大好き。だって、そこから始まるから。最初の出会いから。

Pack down team: I love working and feeling like I am a part of building this church. Which is changing Osaka in an amazing way.
パックダウンチーム：この教会を建てている一部になっているという気持ちで仕えてるのが最高。そして大阪が最高の意味で変えられていってる！

International team gives me a great opportunity to get know and grow with people from around the world. It’s amazing.
インターナショナルチームは世界中の人と出会って、一緒に成長していく機会が与えられていく。最高！

6) What is your vision?
今のビジョンは？

To be a part of a movement that literally changes Japan.
日本を変える動きの一部になること。 

I love this country and it’s people so much. But if you look deep enough you find that there is a lot of silent heartache and loneliness in Japan.
僕は日本と日本人が大好き。 でも、もっと深くみていくと、口には出していない心の痛みや孤独を抱えている人が日本にはたくさんいる。

I want to be a teacher and a guide for the next generation here in Japan. I want to be a part of a revolution that will change the heart of Japan forever.
僕は日本の次世代に教える人、導く人になりたい。 日本を永遠に変える革命的な動きの一部になりたい。

7) Is there anything you want to say to people from overseas (living in Japan or elsewhere) thinking to join this church?
これからこの教会にくることを考えている海外にいる人、または日本に住んでいる外国人にメッセージ！

After a long summer of searching and stretching I found Jesus Lifehouse. Immediately I was connected with a family.
探し求めて、ストレッチされた長い夏を経て、ジーザスライフハウスを見つけた。すぐに家族と繋がることができた。

By my 3nd Sunday people where asking me questions about events that had happened 4 months prior. When I told them this was my 3nd time they were shocked because it felt that I had been a part of all them for much longer. From the moment I was greeted at the station I knew I had found what I was searching for; Family.
３回目の日曜日で、教会の人達が４ヶ月前の出来事について僕に聞いてきた。そのときまだ教会にきて３回目の日曜日だよって伝えたら、彼らは僕があまりにもなじんでいたので、驚いていた。駅で歓迎された時から、僕は自分が探し求めていたものを見つけたって確信が持てた：それは、家族！ 

After visiting Japan and being involved in Japanese based ministry for 6 years I can truly say that what lives in the heart of Jesus Lifehouse  is unlike anything else I have ever experienced. It’s a passionate movement seeking to change the heart of Japan. There is a place for you here.
日本を訪問して、日本の宣教活動に６年間参加した上で感じてることは、ジーザスライフハウスで体験できることは、自分が今まで体験したものとは全く違うものだということ！　日本を変えることに情熱をもったムーヴメント！あなたの居場所はここにあります。

8) Lastly, what’s your favorite scripture?
最後に好きな聖書の箇所を教えてください！

Matthew 6:26 “Look at the sparrows. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?”
「空の鳥をよく見なさい。種も蒔かず、刈り入れもせず、倉に納めもしない。だが、あなたがたの天の父は鳥を養ってくださる。あなたがたは、鳥よりも価値あるものではないか。」（マタイ　6：26） 

I had everything I needed in the U.S. God told me to leave it all and trust him.
アメリカには自分が必要なものは全てもっていた。でも神様はそれを全ておいて、彼に信頼しなさいと僕にいった。

I came to Japan after graduating with no job, no working visa, and my entire life packed up in a few bags. I can truly say this has been a voyage, but the most rewarding decision of my life. I’ve been blessed to be a part of something so much bigger than anything I could have dreamed.
卒業後日本にきて、仕事も、ビザもなく、カバン何個かに自分の持ち物をすべてつめた。これはまさに冒険だけど、自分の人生の中でも最も最高の決断。 自分が夢見ていたものよりもはるかに大きなものの一部になれてめっちゃ祝福されている。

And now I’m living in an amazing place with the best roommate, in a beautiful relationship with the most wonderful girl, teaching young people and guiding them, and most importantly working towards changing Japan through the love of Jesus Christ.
Aren’t you more valuable than a sparrow?
今は最高の場所に最高のルームメイト、最も素晴らしい女性との最高の関係が与えられて、若者を教えて、導いて、何よりもイエスキリストの愛を通して日本を変えていく一部になっている。あなたは鳥よりも価値があると思わない？
