見つめ続けたいもの。 Let’s fix our eyes on….

Sunday church was AMAZING!!!

Luke was in Hong Kong church so he wasn’t there, but Osaka church was amazing too!

What I love about church is that even when we think “this week was epic!”, the next week it’s even better.

Life with God is like that too!

I became a Christian when I was in Uni and it’s been 7 years since we became a Christian, but I never regretted my life with Jesus!

Of course there are challenges in life, but there is no such thing as life without challenges.  And I’m going to over come challenges with God!

When I think about how I could of lived a life without God, I can be thankful about everything! Because my life is amazing!!

I thought about why I’ve been able to walk with Jesus strongly without falling out of track because usually I don’t stick to things that long…

I heard before how ice-skaters don’t lose balance and get dizzy while they spinning.  They simply fix their eyes on one point. And they adjust their necks and bodies according that point.

But even professional ice-skaters fall sometimes when they do big jumps like triple-axel….

But if they maintain their focus and continued their skating… and if they keep calm and the balance, they can successfully do jumps and loops!

The Bible says that we must  fix our eyes on Jesus.

(ヘブル 12:2)

(Hebrews 12:2)
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

As some ice-skaters fall, sometimes we fall too, even when we think that we are fixing our eyes on one point.

But that’s not the end.

When we get our focus back on Jesus again, we can stand up strong.

Ice-skaters get up by their own strength, but for us Christians, we don’t have to get up by our own strength. God always gives us His hand to help us getting up again!!!

We also have supportive friends in church so we are not alone. There is a community of encouragement.

I remember when Mao Asada, the Japanese skater fell after trying to do triple axel.

In her interview after her performance, Mao said to the media

“It was good that I tried. Since I tried it this time, I can try again next time, with more confidence.”

She wasn’t scared because she failed… her positive attitude really inspired me.

Walking with Jesus is not always happy and we have no problems in our lives… We do have mountains and valleys in our lives.

But even we trip over or stumble, if we know the focus point and fix our eyes on it… we can move forward.

We fix our eyes on Jesus and God’s word!

No matter what happens in our lives, if we keep on fixing our eyes on Jesus…

we can live a great life with GOD!

(2 Corinthians 4:18)
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

God knows we’re going to fail every once in a while. But, He also stands by us and helps us get back on our feet!

しっかり歩けるようにしてくださいました。 神様は私の口に、新しい賛美の歌を授けてくださいました。
(詩編40:1−3 リビングバイブル訳)

I waited and waited and waited for God. At last he looked; finally he listened.
He lifted me out of the ditch,
pulled me from deep mud.
He stood me up on a solid rock
to make sure I wouldn’t slip.
He taught me how to sing the latest God-song,
a praise-song to our God.
More and more people are seeing this:
they enter the mystery,
abandoning themselves to God. (Psalm 40:1-3 The Message)

Let’s fix our eyes on JESUS!

まだイエスって誰?っていう人も、知ってほしい。 イエスを見つめ続けながら歩む人生は最強だから!
If you are wondering about who Jesus is, I want you to get to know him! If you live life by focusing on Jesus you are going to have the best life ever!!

If you are reading this blog,  why don’t you take a step forward and come to church ?
